A powerful witness of faith and service unfolded at the Zamboanga Peninsula Mission (ZPM) Function Hall on February 26–27, 2026, as care group leaders in the local churches, district pastors, and young workers gathered for the Care Group Empowerment Fellowship. This milestone event reaffirmed the vital role of care groups in advancing the Great Commission across the ZPM territory.

Delegates and guests joined in worship, prayer, and fellowship, setting the tone for a mission-driven year. The program featured inspiring messages and testimonies from honored guests of Southwestern Philippine Union Conference (SwPUC):
– Pr. Elvin & Ma’am Sandra Salarda
– Sir Nuelin & Ma’am Melody Sanes
– Pr. Roxie Joy & Ma’am Alevir Pido
– Pr. Michael & Ma’am Margielyn Capapas
– Pr. Teddy & Ma’am May Baang

Their presence underscored the collaborative spirit of ministry, reminding participants that care groups remain the lifeblood of the church’s mission.
The fellowship emphasized that care groups are not simply gatherings but living expressions of Christ’s command in Matthew 28:19–20: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations… teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.”

Leaders shared testimonies of how their ministries continue to thrive and make tangible impact in their communities through:
– Bible Studies that strengthen faith and understanding.
– Mentoring Programs guiding young believers into deeper discipleship.
– Evangelistic Efforts reaching families and barangays with the message of hope.
– Prayer Ministries interceding for the mission and the community.
– Community Outreach initiatives such as feeding programs and acts of service.
These ministries reflect the enduring commitment of ZPM leaders to serve faithfully, regardless of challenges.

One speaker captured the heart of the gathering with these words: “The Great Commission is not an option to be considered; it is a command to be obeyed. Our care groups are the hands and feet of Jesus in our communities, and we must remain faithful until He comes.”

As Care Group Empowerment 2026 concluded, delegates left renewed in strength and vision. The gathering affirmed that faithfulness in service is the true measure of discipleship. ZPM care group leaders are not simply maintaining programs; they are building a lasting legacy by proclaiming the Three Angels’ Message—sharing the everlasting gospel, calling people to worship the Creator, and preparing communities for Christ’s soon return. More than an event, Care Group Empowerment 2026 stands as a movement of faith and a call to lifelong service in a world longing for hope.
