‎Bud Mana Hosts Free Iftar at Masjid Maas in Talipao, Sulu

Community Outreach March 22, 2026

Talipao, Sulu — March 12, 2026
‎Demonstrating compassion and strengthening interfaith understanding, Adventist Muslim Relations (AMR) – Bud Mana Volunteers conducted its first Free Iftar Feeding Program of the year at Masjid Maas in Sitio Banglot, Barangay Upper Sinumaan, Talipao, Sulu.

The outreach was held during the sacred Muslim month of Ramadan, a time devoted to fasting, prayer, reflection, and generosity. Each evening, Muslim communities gather for Iftar, the meal that breaks the day-long fast, creating a meaningful opportunity for community fellowship.

During the event, 75 adults and children from the community were served by Bud Mana volunteers. Although the meal was simple, the gathering was marked by warmth and appreciation. The activity became a meaningful expression of friendship, as members of the Muslim community welcomed the gesture of kindness from the volunteers.

A short multimedia presentation highlighting Bud Mana’s previous community engagements in Barangay Upper Sinumaan was also shown. The photos and video clips brought smiles and reflection as residents recognized familiar faces and remembered past activities that have strengthened relationships between the team and the community.

Bud Mana extends sincere appreciation to Imam Akam Ismah of Masjid Maas for his openness and cooperation, and to Barangay Captain Khadafi Misuwali of Upper Sinumaan for his support of the initiative.

The Free Iftar outreach is part of a series of activities planned in several masjids across Talipao as part of Bud Mana’s continuing effort to empowering communities, foster peace, and demonstrate practical service through acts of kindness.

The team also expresses gratitude to the Zamboanga Peninsula Mission and generous sponsors whose support made the outreach possible.

Through initiatives like this, Bud Mana continues to nurture meaningful connections within the community—affirming that the simple act of sharing a meal can open doors to deeper understanding, and lasting peace.
