The Diplahan Adventist Schools Celebrate Two Decades of Light — Legacy of Faith and Excellence

Education December 5, 2025

On a bright Sunday morning, November 30, 2025, the LGU Gymnasium of Diplahan transformed into a vibrant sea of colors, smiles, and grateful hearts. It wasn’t just an event—it was a homecoming, a testament, and a celebration of two decades of Adventist education that has shaped thousands of young minds.

Gathered under the theme “Two decades, One legacy, One happy family,” the Diplahan Adventist Elementary School, Inc. (DAES) and the Adventist Academy of Diplahan, Inc. (AADI) marked their 20th Founding Anniversary—a milestone that stirred both nostalgia and excitement for the future.

As families, board members, teachers, Kauswagan brethren, and guests filled the gymnasium, the atmosphere echoed with the joy of reunion. The celebration opened with a moving welcome address from Elder Cresencio S. Jore, School Board Chairman, whose words transported everyone back to the humble beginnings of the school. “It is through God’s will this school was built,” Elder Jore declared with conviction. “It was He who convinced these parents to enrol and entrust their children in His institution. So I thank and welcome everybody especially the parents who are joining us in celebrating this momentous event.”

The audience nodded, many remembering the early years when classrooms were simple, resources were scarce, and faith was the only foundation strong enough to carry the dream forward.

If the welcome warmed the heart, the keynote message ignited the spirit. Pastor Elmer L. Dulang, Executive Secretary of the Zamboanga Peninsula Mission, took the stage with an energy that instantly captured the crowd.

His message was a powerful reminder of what sets Adventist education apart. “God has blessed our school,” Pastor Dulang said, “and we reach this 20th Founding Anniversary because you, school board members, teachers, and parents, are very sincere and eager in producing not only learners that are equipped with knowledge, talents, and skills but also God-fearing and faithful individuals.”

His words seemed to rise beyond the gymnasium—upward, outward, and into the future of the students seated before him.

What followed was a joyful tapestry of presentations: children singing with bright enthusiasm, students performing with confidence born from years of training, teachers beaming with pride, parents capturing moments that will live forever in family albums.

The stage became a window into the heart of the school—a place where talent and faith intertwine, where learning goes beyond books, and where each child is nurtured with purpose.

Though DAES and AADI stand as two institutions, the anniversary underscored a deeper truth, they are one family.
Together, they share:
One Vision—to educate the head, heart, and hand;
One Mission—to cultivate learners anchored in faith;
One Legacy—20 years of shaping character, building leaders, and guiding young hearts toward God.

The theme “Two decades, One legacy, One happy family” could not have been more fitting. Every moment of the event reflected unity—students cheering for each other, teachers collaborating, parents celebrating not just their child’s school, but the entire community.

As the program drew to a close, one thing became clear. This anniversary was not just about looking back—it was about looking ahead.

The schools stood stronger than ever, fueled by the same unwavering faith that sparked their founding 20 years ago. With renewed dedication, they marched forward into the next decade—ready to build, inspire, and lead.

For DAES and AADI, the anniversary was more than a milestone. It was a reminder of the legacy they carry, the mission they live, and the family they have become.
