Eighty-four youth delegates from various part of ZPM gathered for a transformative two-day “Youth Leaders Initiative,” designed to equip the next generation with biblical leadership principles and practical strategies for serving their communities. The event was held on October 24-25, 2025, in Zamboanga Peninsula Mission Function Hall.
The initiative sought to remind the youth that true leadership begins with knowing God and understanding one’s divine purpose. Delegates were guided through principles that emphasized personal growth, service, humility, and empowerment — values deeply rooted in the example of Jesus Christ. Through focused sessions and reflective activities, delegates were encouraged to lead not for recognition, but out of love and commitment to God’s calling.

The event also aimed to build a generation of leaders who can stand firm in their faith, lead with courage and conviction, and respond to the needs of others through servant leadership. It was designed not just to inspire, but to equip young people with spiritual and practical wisdom that will help them navigate leadership challenges both inside and outside the church.
Youth Delegates were introduced to six essential principles for Generation Z leaders: knowing God to discover purpose, growing holistically, staying connected to God, leading by serving, loving others unconditionally, and empowering future leaders.

All the directors from Zamboanga Peninsula Mission united with one purpose—to teach and inspire the youth leaders to embrace Christ-centered leadership. Each director shared valuable lessons drawn from Scripture, reminding the delegates that leadership is not about power or position, but about service, humility, and faithfulness to God’s calling. Through their messages, the youth were guided to see leadership as a sacred responsibility—to serve others, to grow in character, and to lead with love and integrity just as Jesus did.
Delegates reflected on the practical applications of these lessons.
Rheamae Estacion of Ipil District 2 said, “Leadership does not require perfection or knowledge; it requires willingness and availability to serve God. Courage, faith, and prayer guide leaders even when outcomes are uncertain.”

Pastor Ramos reminded participants that understanding one’s purpose early is key to effective leadership. “A life without purpose is like a boat drifting with the wind. Jesus knew His mission even as a child and began serving others early, setting an example for youth today.” Prayer was emphasized as a leader’s lifeline, essential for guidance, growth, and faithful service.
Delegates were encouraged to lead by serving, not seeking recognition, following Jesus’ example of humility, compassion, and purposeful action. They were challenged to live with intention, pray consistently, grow continually, and empower others lovingly.

Event successfully strengthened ZPM youth leadership, equipping participants with spiritual insights and practical skills to lead with integrity, serve faithfully, and inspire their communities.
