From September 28 to October 4, 2025, the Zamboanga Peninsula Mission (ZPM) held a week-long evangelistic campaign at the Zamboanga Adventist Center (ZAC) Church in Zamboanga City. The nightly gatherings, themed “Jesus and the Sanctuary,” drew around 250 attendees each night, creating an atmosphere filled with devotion, reflection, and spiritual renewal.
Guided and supported by beloved church leaders—Pastor Heshbon Buscato, SSD Youth Director; Pastor Junifer Colegado SWPUC Director; Pastor Amorlito Hamoy ZPM Youth Director; Pastor Rommel Ouano, the active church pastor; and district pastors Pastor Shirwin Quico Metro district and Pastor Domie Dagalea District 1 pastor—the event became a powerful testimony of unity in mission and ministry.

The nightly messages were delivered by Sir Jay Salcedo, Treasurer of the International SDA Church in Laverne, whose inspiring presentations centered on the deeper meaning of “Jesus and the Sanctuary.”
Understanding the Sanctuary: The Heart of Salvation

Sir Jay emphasized that the Sanctuary is central to understanding Jesus’s role in salvation—revealing both its earthly and heavenly dimensions.
The earthly sanctuary, built by Moses, served as a model of the true heavenly tabernacle where Jesus now ministers on our behalf. Every sacrifice made within its walls pointed to the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross.
Jesus fulfills the Sanctuary’s symbolism. As the Lamb of God, He took away the sins of the world, freeing humanity from condemnation and offering the gift of eternal life.

The heavenly sanctuary represents the great original—where Jesus continues His intercessory work before God’s throne. Just as the Apostle John described in his vision, the heavenly temple shines with “seven lamps of fire” and the “golden altar,” symbols of Christ’s ongoing ministry.
Jesus’s ministry continues today. As written in Hebrews 7:25, “He is able to save completely those who come to God through Him, because He always lives to intercede for them.” His continuous intercession breaks the power of sin, offering freedom and transformation to all who believe.
A Week of Transformation and New Beginnings

One of the most moving moments came on the third night, when a family publicly declared their faith and commitment through baptism. This sacred act marked the beginning of a wave of spiritual revival, as baptisms continued each night throughout the week.
By the end of the campaign, 212 precious souls accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. The Zamboanga Adventist Center Church joyfully welcomed them into the family of faith—a milestone that reflects the power of the Holy Spirit and the unending grace of God.
A Message of Hope and Assurance

The message of “Jesus and the Sanctuary” offers every believer hope and confidence. Because of Jesus’s ongoing ministry, we can trust in our salvation and look forward to eternal life with Him.
Encountering Jesus in the Sanctuary transforms lives. Understanding His love and sacrifice inspires us to live in harmony with His character—reflecting His compassion, humility, and righteousness in our daily walk.
The Sanctuary reminds us that Jesus is our direct access to God, bridging the gap that sin created. Through His ultimate sacrifice, we receive forgiveness, cleansing, and restoration.

Moreover, the Sanctuary points us beyond this temporary world—reminding us that our true home is in heaven. As we fix our eyes on Jesus, our eternal High Priest, we find peace in knowing that our future is secure in His hands.
In conclusion, the “Nightly Journey of Faith and Discovery” at ZAC Church was more than an event—it was an encounter with Jesus Himself. The hearts of believers were renewed, families were restored, and lives were changed for eternity.
Indeed, “Jesus and the Sanctuary” continues to be a living message of hope, grace, and salvation for all who seek Him.
