Celebrating 75 Years of Purpose: Honoring the 75th World Pathfinder Day at Philippine Advent College

Youth September 30, 2025

World Pathfinder Day is celebrated globally to recognize and uplift the mission of the Pathfinder Club—a movement that has shaped generations of young people to live with purpose, faith, and service. This annual celebration is a tribute to the values of leadership, spiritual growth, and community impact that define every Pathfinder’s journey. On September 20, 2025, Philippine Advent College (PAC) joyfully joined the global celebration of the 75th World Pathfinder Day, embracing the theme “Pathfinder in Purpose” with heartfelt enthusiasm and spiritual depth.

This milestone event was led with dedication by the Master Guides in partnership with Pathfinder Coordinator Pastor Zhye Pamunag and Master Guide Coordinator of the Sindangan Chapter, Jair Chloe Tamala, who also served as one of the main leaders of the program. The celebration brought together Pathfinders, Master Guides, and aspiring youth from across the Sindangan district in a vibrant spiritual gathering that reignited their passion for purposeful living and Christ-centered service.

Sabbath School Program: “Love God Above All”

The morning Sabbath School Program showcased the active involvement of the Pathfinders themselves. A highlight of the segment was the Promotional Talk by Pastor Aldrin Verbosidad, PAC faculty member and Values Instructor. His message, deeply rooted in spiritual conviction, emphasized the theme:

“To love God above all things and to serve Him with purpose and passion.”

The congregation was reminded that being a Pathfinder is not merely about wearing a uniform—it’s about embodying a life of devotion, integrity, and mission.

Hour of Worship: Opening with Honor and Reverence

The Divine Worship began with a solemn opening ceremony, featuring the raising of the Philippine national flag and the Pathfinder flag—an act of honor led by Pathfinder officers and Master Guides.

Pastor Zhye Pamunag delivered the sermon with spiritual depth and conviction, calling the youth to discover their true purpose in Christ and to stand boldly for righteousness in today’s world. The worship atmosphere was reverent and spirit-filled, touching the hearts of both seasoned Pathfinders and aspiring youth.

Adventist Youth Program: A Joyful Gathering of Purpose and Praise

The afternoon Adventist Youth (AY) program brought joyful energy to the celebration. Master Guide Wilessa Pitogo Menzuais delivered a message that was both engaging and empowering, resonating deeply with the youth. Her words reminded them that their voices matter and their purpose in Christ is worth celebrating.

The AY program flowed smoothly, building anticipation for the outreach that followed.

Community Outreach: Pathfinders with a Purpose

To conclude the day, Pathfinders, Master Guides, and aspiring members from the Sindangan District were mobilized for a heartfelt community outreach. Visiting homes across the district, they shared songs of praise, prayers, and words of encouragement—bringing spiritual revival and joy to every household.

Residents expressed deep gratitude as their homes were filled with the warmth of fellowship and the presence of God. It was a living testimony of what it means to be a Pathfinder with a purpose—to serve, uplift, and shine as beacons of hope.

A Celebration to Remember

The 75th World Pathfinder Day at Philippine Advent College was more than a commemoration—it was a revival of identity, mission, and purpose. Through worship, fellowship, and outreach, the Pathfinders of the Sindangan District proved that they are truly “Pathfinders in Purpose”—committed, called, and courageous in their walk with Christ.

Because being a Pathfinder is not just a title—it’s a mission. A calling. A lifestyle of purpose, prayer, and power.
