Mission View Adventist Church (MVAC), ZPM – A special program to launch the Children’s Tithing initiative was held at the Mission View Adventist Church (MVAC), emphasizing stewardship education among young believers.

The event started  with a processional of fourteen children, accompanied by the song, “Jesus Loves the Little Children.” Ma’am Joy Asoy, Children’s Ministries Director of Zamboanga Peninsula Mission (ZPM), and Elder Matilde Benito, an MVAC elder, led the procession as the children carried the program’s banner.

Elder Kay P. Ramos, MVAC’s Children Department Head, emphasized how early instruction on stewardship can nurture responsible and faithful givers through her engaging lecture entitled “The Importance of Stewardship Education.”

Ma’am Joy Asoy highlighted the theme of the event, “Children’s Training on Tithing.” Her emphasis on instilling the value of tithing from a young age inspired both children and adults in attendance.

The children sang a heartfelt rendition of “Jesus Loves Me” and afterwards each child also recited a Bible memory verse, showcasing their commitment to the Word of God.

The event proceeded with the distribution and filling up of tithe envelopes. This activity gave the children hands-on experience in giving back to God as an act of faith.

The program concluded with a commitment song, “Give All Your Tithes,” performed by the MVAC kids. Pastor Antonio Pamunag, a retired worker and MVAC Adviser, sealed the occasion with a heartfelt commitment prayer.

The Children’s Tithing program serves as a reminder that stewardship begins early. This initiative aims to instill lifelong habits of faithfulness and generosity among the younger generation.
