Over hundreds of Seventh-Day Adventist brethren from three different Districts around Zamboanga City came together for a historic event on August 31, 2024. The first-ever Tri-District Fellowship was held at Southern City College, MCLL Highway Divisoria Zamboanga City, marking a significant milestone for the Adventist community in the region.
The fellowship brought together members from Zamboanga District 1, led by Pastor Domiciano Dagalea; Zamboanga Metro, led by Pastor Sherwin Quico; and Zamboanga District 3, led by Pastor Joe Nacis. The event featured a series of lectures for all caregroups from Sabbath School, delivered by ZPM Field Secretary, Pastor Klenjey Sajulga. An inspiring message from the Lord was also shared during the Divine service by Pastor Ranny Devera.
During the A.Y program, Pastor Sajulga took the opportunity to inspire and equip the caregroups from all three districts. He emphasized the importance of each group becoming more effective in engaging God’s mission. This dedication went beyond simply encouraging them to participate in outreach activities. Pastor Sajulga outlined a vision for the caregroups to become more strategically involved in their communities.
By dedicating the caregroups to this mission, Pastor Sajulga envisioned a more impactful and effective outreach program within the Zamboanga City Seventh-Day Adventist community. This dedication served as a catalyst for the caregroups to step into their roles as active ambassadors of God’s love and grace.
The success of the Tri-District Fellowship was a testament to the commitment and dedication of the organizers and participants. Despite the challenges faced in preparing for such a large-scale event, the spirit of unity and fellowship prevailed.
Sister Eda Bollong, an active member of the Zamboanga Metro district and one of the organizers, expressed her joy at the outcome: “It was quite difficult to imagine what could be the outcome of the Tri-District Fellowship since it is the first time, but now I can truly testify that God’s intervention is here.”
Pastor Sajulga echoed these sentiments, adding, “It’s good to see hundreds of brethren unite together in prayer and for the furtherance of the work.”
The first Tri-District Fellowship served as a powerful reminder of the strength and unity found within the Seventh-Day Adventist community in Zamboanga City. The event was a resounding success, bringing together hundreds of brethren for a day of worship, learning, and fellowship. This historic gathering sets a precedent for future collaborations and strengthens the bond between the three districts.
