Talipao, Sulu — Bud Mana reaffirmed its commitment to community service through a successful outreach initiative held on April 17–18, 2026, in Barangay Upper Sinumaan, Talipao, Sulu. The two-day activity brought together volunteers, partners, and local residents in a collaborative effort to provide healthcare, nourishment, and hope to the community.

A team of volunteer professionals from Manila generously shared their time and expertise to serve local families. The team included Dr. Naiah Mel V. Sarmiento (Dentist), Jaycel B. Abulencia, RN, Darlene Jane T. Lanaja, RN, Patricia Mae P. Tenorio, LPT, and Aijah Melicha V. Rosales, CPA.

As part of the outreach, nearly 100 children received dental services, including fluoride applications and tooth extractions, helping address immediate oral health concerns among young residents. Beyond healthcare, the volunteers organized games and recreational activities that brought joy and excitement to participating children, strengthening connections within the community.

The program also featured a feeding activity that benefited more than 100 children and adults. Families likewise received groceries and essential goods through a gift-giving initiative designed to support their daily needs.

The success of the outreach was made possible through the generous support of the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Talipao under the leadership of Hon. Hja. Reham S. Tulawie. The LGU donated four sacks of rice for the gift-giving program and provided biscuits for 150 children participating in the feeding activity, significantly expanding the outreach’s impact.

Bud Mana also expressed its sincere appreciation to the 41st Infantry “Partner for Peace” Battalion, Philippine Army, for its invaluable logistical support. The battalion facilitated the transportation and safe transfer of visiting volunteers from the port to Barangay Upper Sinumaan, contributing to the smooth implementation of the program.

Additional support was provided by representatives from the Rural Health Unit (RHU) of Talipao, whose participation strengthened the delivery of health services and promoted community well-being:
Fatima Rania R. Angeles, RM
Mariam Jameela M. Andan, RM
Frecky A. Bantuhan, RN
Wherdad M. Ampang, RM
Sophia A. Ajid, RM
Equally commendable were the Bud Mana Student Volunteers, whose dedication and teamwork were evident in every stage of the outreach—from planning and preparation to implementation. Their commitment helped ensure that the activity remained organized, impactful, and community-centered.

The outreach stands as a testament to the power of collaboration and the enduring Filipino spirit of bayanihan. Through compassion, cooperation, and service, volunteers and partners were able to bring meaningful assistance and renewed hope to the people of Upper Sinumaan.

Bud Mana extends its heartfelt gratitude to all partners, volunteers, supporters, and community members who made the initiative possible. As the organization continues its mission of service, it carries forward the smiles it witnessed, the lives it touched, and the reminder that even simple acts of kindness can leave a lasting impact.
