Harmony in Mission: Glanzen Singers Ignite a Passion for Education at PAC

January 17, 2026 — Music is often described as the language of the soul, but at Philippine Advent College (PAC) this past Sabbath, it became the language of mission.

The college campus came alive not just with melodies, but with a renewed sense of purpose during the “Concert for a Cause,” headlined by the dedicated Glanzen Singers. Led by the Auditor of the Zamboanga Peninsula Mission (ZPM), Mr. and Mrs. Neil Ando, this event was more than a performance—it was a rallying cry for the future of Christian education.

To understand the impact of this event, one must look at the heart of the group. The Glanzen Singing Group has become a beacon of hope throughout the Zamboanga Peninsula. They have dedicated their time, talent, and resources to a singular, noble mission: helping our Church Schools survive and thrive.

Traveling across the ZPM territory, the singers have turned their musical gifts into a vehicle for service. Their stop at PAC was a testament to this unwavering commitment. Every note sung was a prayer, and every ticket served a higher purpose—to strengthen Church School projects, upgrade facilities, and ensure that young minds continue to be nurtured in the admonition of the Lord.

The spirit of mission permeated the entire day, beginning with a unique Sabbath School. Sir Neil Ando, ZPM Auditor, delivered a stirring talk that challenged the status quo. “Serving God is not only expressed through words, but more importantly through faithful actions, consistent commitment, and a willing heart.” His message was clear: The mission field isn’t just overseas; it is right here, supporting the institutions that raise the next generation of believers.

During the Hour of Worship, the congregation was led to reflect on the theme: “Following Instructions with Grace and Courage.” The message struck a chord with the students and faculty. In a world that prioritizes comfort, the call to mission often requires uncomfortable obedience. The message reminded the PAC family that while God’s instructions may challenge our personal desires, His grace provides the courage to stand firm. The Glanzen Singers prepared the hearts of the people, reminding everyone that true obedience is a love response to a faithful God.

The day concluded with an electric Adventist Youth Program led by the Philippine Advent College Dormitory students. It was a vivid demonstration that the mission does not end with the older generation. Missionaries from various places joined the PAC Chapel, creating a beautiful tapestry of unity. The energy was palpable, proving that the youth are not merely waiting for their turn to lead—they are leading now.

The Concert for a Cause at Philippine Advent College was a powerful reminder that when talent is consecrated to God, it becomes a ministry that changes lives. Because of the Glanzen’s dedication to the schools of Zamboanga Peninsula Mission, the torch of Christian education continues to burn bright. As the music faded, the mission remained. ”When the youth are on fire for God, the church moves forward.”
