Heartfelt prayers and renewed faith filled the Tiayon Seventh-day Adventist Church as it celebrated its 50th Church Anniversary under the Zamboanga Peninsula Mission of Ipil District 2. The milestone marked not only the passing of time but also five decades of God’s unfailing guidance, unity, and service to the community.

Celebration began with seven meaningful nights of prayer from December 15 to 22, 2025, held every evening at 7:00 PM. Anchored on the theme “Growing in Spirit,” the nightly messages were delivered by the church elders, reminding members of the importance of spiritual growth, faithfulness, and perseverance. Each night strengthened the bond of fellowship and rekindled the members’ commitment to prayer and service.
On the morning of December 22, the church’s youth department spearheaded a feeding program that reached children from four nearby communities: Purok Sunrise, Purok Bato, Purok Gemelina, and Purok Kawayan. The activity brought joy and smiles to the children and their parents, reflecting the church’s commitment not only to spiritual growth but also to compassionate service and community outreach.

Evening program brought together members and leaders for main anniversary celebration. Message delivered by Ptr. Edy L. Paras-Stewardship Director of ZPM, focused on stewardship, trust in God, and responsibility of every member to remain faithful in service.
Adding depth and emotion to celebration was testimony of Sister Anita Egoc, daughter of one church pioneer. She recalled humble beginnings of Tiayon SDA Church and shared stories of dedication and sacrifice since its establishment on December 22, 1975. Her testimony served as a reminder that church growth was built on faith and commitment of early leaders.

Program concluded with Appreciation and Recognition of Leadership, honoring founding members, past leaders, and dedicated workers whose service helped sustain church through five decades. Recognition stood not only as acknowledgment of past efforts but also as inspiration for present and future members.
As Tiayon SDA Church reaches 50 years, milestone reflects a living faith passed on through generations. With renewed commitment and strengthened unity, church continues its mission to grow in spirit and serve community with purpose.
