Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay — The Zamboanga Peninsula Mission (ZPM) workers came together for a four-day Mini-Olympics Anniversary Game held on August 16–19, 2025 at the ZPM Compound. Far from the usual meetings that focus on workloads and reports, this gathering brought pastors and their wives, publishing workers (APML), teachers’ representatives, directors, and office staff into one meaningful fellowship marked by sportsmanship, bonding, and spiritual renewal.

The event aimed not only to provide enjoyment but also to strengthen camaraderie among workers as co-laborers in Christ. With the theme of unity and collaboration, the activity reminded every participant that strong relationships within the workforce lead to more efficient and effective service for the mission.

The program was filled with team-building activities, cultural games, sports competitions, and an obstacle bike race. Designed to cater to the interests of workers across generations, the games also fostered spiritual connection through worship and devotional segments held daily.

Gracing the event was Pastor Heshbon Buscato, SSD Youth Director, who underscored the importance of in-person socialization in this digital age. He reminded participants that while online connections are common today, nothing can replace the joy of genuine fellowship and face-to-face interaction.

In the spirit of healthy competition, the workers were grouped into mixed teams composed of ZPM office staff, district pastors, and teachers’ representatives. After days of play and fun-filled challenges, Team Violet emerged as the overall champion, followed by Team Blue as first runner-up, Team Green as second runner-up, and Team Orange as third runner-up.

The Mini-Olympics left everyone not only refreshed but also spiritually enriched, proving that moments of recreation and fellowship can inspire deeper unity in service. As the participants returned to their respective fields, they carried with them renewed strength, closer bonds, and a stronger commitment to serve together in advancing God’s mission.
