Zamboanga Peninsula, Philippines. Adventist World Radio (AWR) “From Broadcast to Baptism” Evangelism Program continues to transform lives, culminating in the baptism of 1,279 individuals from various districts across the peninsula.

This year alone, 710 souls made the decision to follow Christ, adding to the 569 baptisms from last year. The campaign, which reached communities in Sindangan, Siayan, Bacungan, Malangas, Bayog, Salug, and Godod, was instrumental in sharing the message of salvation through radio broadcasts, Bible studies, and evangelistic meetings.

Leaders from AWR’s Asia- Pacific Region, Pastor Robert Dulay and Pastor Roseller Zamora paved the way for this meaningful campaign, where on one of their visits they made mention of the growing need to broadcast the message of salvation to rural communities by means of FM radios. Zamboanga Peninsula Mission responded by integrating 5 community radio stations in Buug, Del Monte, Alicia, Salug, and Sindangan into the AWR umbrella. ZPM’s 24/7 radio also broadcast selected AWR Programs on the internet.

The overwhelming response to the AWR Crusade highlights the growing hunger for truth and the effectiveness of media evangelism in reaching remote areas. Church leaders, lay members, and Bible workers played a crucial role in guiding new believers through their spiritual journey.

As the mission of AWR continues, the Seventh-day Adventist Church remains committed to proclaiming the Gospel, strengthening faith communities, and preparing more people for Christ’s soon return.
