August 31, 2025 marked a beautiful milestone for Adventist Elementary School–OLUTALMA District, Inc., as the community joyfully celebrated its Second School Anniversary. This program was held to honor the school’s journey of growth, faith, and service—highlighting its mission to provide quality Adventist education to the three municipalities of Olutanga, Talusan, and Mabuhay. It was a day overflowing with gratitude, fellowship, and purpose, as the school continues to shine as a beacon of hope in the island.

From the break of dawn, the community gathered for the first-ever LAMPAS for a Cause, a unique fundraising event featuring a friendly tennis tournament at the Olutanga Tennis Court. The celebration also included fund-raising activities such as a Fun Run and Raffle Draw. These were not only about sports and excitement, but also about building dreams—raising funds for the completion of two new classrooms and paving the way for future developments.

The program stretched from 5:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and though the sun shone brightly and the heat was felt throughout the day, nothing could dampen the spirit of the students, parents, brethren, and supporters. Smiles, laughter, and determination filled the atmosphere as everyone gave their best—not just in the games, but in showing their love and support for Adventist Education on the island.

This celebration was made extra special as it also served as the school’s Foundation Day and the Culmination of Buwan ng Wika. Learners proudly showcased their God-given talents, adding vibrant colors to the rich cultural diversity of the island. Parents enjoyed parlor games with their families, while brethren from across the OLUTALMA District came together in a joyful feast of shared meals, lovingly prepared by the School Board of Trustees, Churches, Brethren, and Parents. It was a beautiful picture of unity in diversity and joy in shared mission.

Indeed, this is not the end of the story—it is only the beginning. This young school, standing as a light in the “Island Noah,” is called to serve not just one, but three municipalities. By God’s grace, we will keep moving forward, one step at a time—fueled by faith, strengthened by prayer, and empowered by the love and support of the community.

As we look back on two years of challenges and triumphs, we also look ahead with confidence:
THE BEST IS YET TO COME. Inshallah!
Let us continue to pray, support, and uphold the banner of Adventist Education. Together, we build not just a school—but futures filled with hope, and lives anchored in Christ.
