On June 15, 2025, the municipality of Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay witnessed a vibrant outpouring of unity and purpose during one of the biggest Fun Runs ever held in the Zamboanga Peninsula Mission (ZPM). With over 600 enthusiastic registrants, the event, spearheaded by the Health and Education Departments, successfully blended community wellness with a noble cause: raising funds to build a computer laboratory for Ipil District Adventist Elementary School, Inc. (IDAES).

At the helm of this dynamic initiative was Health Department Director, Pr. Marvin Cedron, whose active leadership and collaboration with the ZPM administration ensured a smooth and inspiring event. Their teamwork underscored the power of collective effort in achieving shared goals.

The Fun Run featured three main categories designed to encourage participation across different groups:
- 11 kilometers for pastors and male office staff
- 8 kilometers for Ministerial and Spouse Association (MSA) and female office staff
- 5 kilometers for children
Each category was further divided by age and gender to promote fair and inclusive competition. This thoughtful arrangement allowed participants of all backgrounds and fitness levels to fully engage in the event.

Beyond the cheers and finish lines, the Fun Run was a remarkable success in its fundraising mission—garnering an impressive ₱93,000. These funds will go directly toward constructing a computer lab at IDAES, a step that signals a bright future for students through enhanced digital learning resources.

But perhaps the greatest achievement of all was the spirit that filled the atmosphere—a spirit of health, unity, and shared support. More than just a race, the event became a living example of how faith and action, when joined hand in hand, can pave the way for a healthier and more empowered community.

ZPM’s 2025 Fun Run was not merely about reaching the finish line—it was about what can be achieved together when hearts and hopes run in the same direction.
