In the divine symphony of the Lord’s creations, love has always been the principal theme that echoes through every moment, choice, and connection.
On a blessed Sabbath on February 8, 2025, a memorable Adventist Youth program unraveled the tapestry of the love bestowed upon us by our Almighty and Omnipotent God. The program commenced with songs performed by the esteemed singers from Bayog Central Church, SERA. The theme song, “Love, care, and serve…” emphasized the importance of embodying compassion, empathy, and kindness towards others, just as the Lord desires us to do.
Mrs. Corazon T. Arip delivered a poignant message on the enduring nature of charity and love. She emphasized that true love is patient, kind, and selfless. It does not envy or boast and is never proud. Love is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs. It delights in the truth and always protects, trusts, hopes, and perseveres. This timeless message highlighted that love never fails and remains the cornerstone of our relationships and actions.
Following the message, the silence was filled with the gentle scratch of pens on paper as the brethren poured out their hearts in gratitude. They penned heartfelt love letters to those who have touched their lives, expressing deep appreciation for the loved ones who bring joy, comfort, and meaning to their journey. The crowning jewel of the program was the heartfelt ‘Love Talk,’ where interviewees shared their tender stories of devotion, revealing profound ways they express love and gratitude to their parents, children, and siblings.
We are all part of God’s wonderfully crafted creation, made with love and purpose. Our identity is rooted in Christ, and we are created to do good works that reflect His character and love. These good works are gentle whispers of love woven into the fabric of our daily lives. They are not just grand, heroic acts but also the quiet, unassuming moments: a listening ear, a comforting word, a helping hand. In these everyday expressions of love and kindness, we find the beauty of His masterpiece shining brightly in every relationship we have in our lives.
